BLOOD DONATION CAMP AT SUKHNA ENCLAVE ON 6TH JANUARY 2019

This new year, Grecian Super Specialty Hospital organised its first blood donation camp in the Sukhna Enclave Community Hall at Sukhna Enclave, Kaimbwala on the 6th of January, 2019 Sunday. Among the doctors present were Pathologist, Dr. Alena Jain and Consultant-Transfusion Medicine, Dr. Neha Syal. The event that lasted for around 3 hours started at around 11.00 am in the morning saw the presence of more than 50 donors who were initially examined by Dr. Alena for fitness for donation. She made the residents aware about the benefits of blood donation and explained how donors were less prone to heart disease and heart attacks. “Blood donation is a healthy practice that reduces the risk of cancer in individuals, increases the production of RBCs, lowers the cholestrol level and also helps in weight loss”, said Dr Neha Syal. “Every healthy  individual should donate blood once in every six month as it helps replenish blood as well as aids in fighting off hemochromitosis”, Dr Neha further added. The event finally concluded at 2.00 pm in the afternoon.

Free Health Checkup Camp at Sood Bhawan on Dec 17th 2017

 

On Sunday, 17th November, Grecian Super Speciality Hospital organized a free health check-up camp at Sood Bhawan, Sector 44 Chandigarh for creating awareness about prevention healthcare and other ailments.

As people in large numbers (1000+) had already gathered for the Sood Community get-together, Grecian Hospital took the initiative to promote a healthy well being among the community. About 50+ people registered and availed the consultation and checkups, and more were willing to visit Grecian Hospital for follow-ups. It was really great to see people so conscious about their health for a healthy life.

The camp offered consultation across several specialities like Pulmonology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, and General Medicine. As Grecian’s name was announced multiple times, our Orthopedician Dr Vishal was visited by dozens of elderly people seeking advice. Dr Danny (Cardiologist) offered advice on cardiology related ailments, while Dr. Preeti Sharma and Dr Jagdish too offered consultation related to pulmonology and general medicine respectively. Some of the people were diagnosed with some ailments and further treatment was suggested.

Grecian Speciality Hospital intends to organize more of such camps in the months ahead and looks forward to benefiting more and more people from Punjab and nearby areas.

COPD – Free Health Checkup Camp on 19th November

In the week following the World COPD Day, that’s celebrated every year on 15th November, Grecian Super Speciality organized a free health check-up camp on 19th November, Sunday, at our premises for creating awareness about COPD and other Pulmonology related ailments.

People had already reached the venue much before the registration time. About 50+ people registered in the first half and availed the checkups, and about 50 more were lined up for the second half.  It was really great to see people so conscious about their health for a healthy life.

Our Pulmonologist, Dr. Preeti Sharma attended scores of people and offered them the right advice they needed to keep their lungs healthy. Some were diagnosed with some ailments and further treatment was suggested.

Grecian Speciality Hospital intends to organize more of such camps in the weeks ahead and looks forward to benefiting more and more people from Punjab and nearby areas.

Free Cardiology and Orthopedics Checkup Camp -24th September

Prior to the World Heart Day, that’s celebrated every year on 29th September, Grecian Super Speciality organized a free health check-up camp on 24th September, Sunday at our premises for the people of Punjab across specialties like Cardiology and Orthopedics.

People had already reached the venue much before the registration time. About 50+ people registered in the first half and availed the checkups. It was really great to see the people so conscious about their healthcare for a healthy life.

Our cardiologist, Dr. Sabharwal, and Dr. Danny attended scores of people and offered them the right advice they needed to keep a healthy heart. Some were diagnosed with minor ailments and further treatment was suggested. Similarly, our Orthopedician, Dr. Vishal, and Dr. Sanjeev too attended a lot of people, mainly old people with joint pain, and offered them tips to keep their limbs moving. Few who suffered from joint related issues we also suggested the right treatment.
